Mission

Farmingdale School District's CTE ensures a thriving Farmingdale economy by providing relevant and rigorous education that is connected, responsive, and real. At Farmingdale, our teachers are dedicated to teaching comprehensive career and technical skills to every student. Our program empowers students to succeed and provides many opportunities for growth. Every career and technical education student becomes knowledgeable in his or her perspective field and in related academic areas. The goal or our programs are to develop young men and women who will graduate with the skills and knowledge necessary to become productive and successful in college or the workplace. Students are placed in an environment that cultivates independent work, teamwork skills, promotes the value of having a work ethic, and helps them decide on a career pathway after high school. In today's world, young people will change careers three to four times in their lives. Our updated and expanding CTE programs introduce students to a multitude of careers within a chosen field for them to explore.
